Irish Shell Pendant

This boho Irish shell pendant is primitive, romantic and earthy. I know that so many people, like me, feel the call of the sea and the salty breeze in their soul. My aim is to bring a little slice of that romantic ocean escape to my customers ♡

This oyster shell (from my local beach in Woodstown) and marbled blue glass bead hang from a 16" Sterling Silver or silver plated snake chain. I rimmed the shell with gold paint. Completely unique and one-of-a-kind! Your jewellery will come beautifully packaged and ready to gift.

Everything is handcrafted in my home studio by Woodstown beach in the South East of Ireland. #etsyirelandteam #EtsyIreland

<Caring for your Jewellery>

Although I create jewellery for mermaids, I would strongly recommend removing your Poppy & Ivy Studios pieces before swimming or washing, to avoid damage.
Remember that your piece of Poppy & Ivy Studios jewellery is made with real glass and is delicate, so please take care while wearing it.
Ideally store your piece in an airtight jewellery box when not being worn.
Sometimes jewellery may tarnish due to moisture in the skin or air. Don’t worry, this will wash right off, but be sure to dry it THOROUGHLY afterwards.

<The Magic>

Oh the wonders of Sea Glass!
Sea glass refers to pieces of glass that have broken down in the ocean and over many, many years, were gently polished by the sand and surf. I get absorbed in the mystery and the magic of it all! Stumbling across a rare piece, such as cobalt blue (the sapphires of the sea), brings me joy like no other. Often referred to as ‘Mermaid Tears’, glistening nuggets of gorgeous glass & pottery on the sand fill me with wonder and awe. What form did it first take? What was it used for? Who owned it? How did it end up in the sea? How far did it travel along the ocean floor to land on my local beach? My theories usually come back to pirate ships… ☠
There are very few things that bring me as much joy as beach-combing, and as much excitement as finding a stunning piece of seaglass or sea pottery. I am so blessed to live on a beach that has such perfect shells, and to live within 10mins of a tiny cove from which I harvest the most amazing hauls of glorious sea treasures. Let me share them with you!

Did you know that you don't need a PayPal account? You can choose the PayPal Option during checkout. After you submit your order click the "Pay Now" button. Scroll Down and you will see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account.

I require payment within 2 days of purchase. If I do not hear from you within 2 days I will send a friendly message to remind you. If I do not receive any communication from you after a 2nd message, I will cancel the transaction and leave appropriate feedback. If for any reason there is an issue with sending payment within the 2 days, just let me know - I am an understanding person and I can extend the payment deadline, **within reason**.

If there are additional customs charges/tax to deliver to where you live, I will contact you to organise payment via PayPal.

I do not post any items until full payment is received.

Shipping from Ireland

I aim to have all in-stock items dispatched within 2 days of purchase (assuming full payment has been received). Custom made pieces will obviously take more time but I will keep you informed as to when you can expect to receive delivery.

If your Etsy address is different to your PayPal address, please let me know which one you would like me to post your order to.

I use An Post Standard Delivery as it is cost effective and reliable. I offer FREE An Post standard post on all jewellery orders!! If you require insurance or your order to be delivered with Registered Post , please contact me so that we can arrange payment via PayPal.

You will receive notification when I post your order.

Once I post your order I'm afraid I am no longer responsible for it.

If you change your mind about your purchase and decide you no longer want it BEFORE an item has been dispatched I can issue a full refund. Unfortunately I cannot offer refunds on custom made pieces.

When you receive your order and you are not satisfied, please let me know. If it is because you have changed your mind, I can exchange an item for you - however you will have to pay the postage costs when returning the old item and receiving the new one. The new item will not be dispatched until the old item has been received by me in it's original condition and packaging.

If an item is damaged upon arrival, please send me a clear photograph of the damage. If I think I can repair it, you can return it to me in its original packaging and I will refund the cost of postage to you. I will send it straight back to you as soon as repairs are complete. If the damage is too severe, or if I believe that repairing it would jeopardise the quality of the item, you do not need to return it - I will replace the item for you or issue a full refund, depending on your wishes.

If you have any issues at all with your purchase, please let me know before leaving negative feedback as I will do my best to rectify the problem.

**Although I make jewellery for mermaids I would strongly recommend removing your Poppy & Ivy Studios pieces before swimming or washing.
